Chinese Hydraulics & Pneumatics is a technical academic journal sponsored by the Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. and the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, under the supervision of the China Machinery Industry Federation.

The journal’s mission is to facilitate information exchange, reflect industry trends, disseminate knowledge, and promote development. Its target readership includes engineering technicians, sales and management personnel in related fields, installation, debugging, operation, and maintenance professionals of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, as well as teachers and students from relevant colleges and universities. The journal primarily covers new technologies, processes, designs, equipment, materials, foundational professional knowledge, and information on products, enterprises, and industry trends in hydraulic and pneumatic technologies and their applications across various sectors of the national economy.

Since 1992, Chinese Hydraulics & Pneumatics has been consistently recognized as a National Core Journal of China in the fields of machinery and instrumentation. It has also been included in the Chinese Academic Journal (CD Edition) and the Wanfang Data Science and Technology Journal Network. In 2001, the journal was selected for inclusion in the China Journal Matrix, making it the most widely circulated and influential journal in the hydraulic, pneumatic, and sealing industries, and the only one in the field to be included in the China Journal Matrix.

Since 2022, Chinese Hydraulics & Pneumatics has been rated as T2-level (indicating an internationally renowned, significant, and high-level authoritative journal) in the Classification Directory of High-Quality Science and Technology Journals in the Field of Mechanical Engineering for two consecutive terms.
